When people say – you can’t.. you wont… you’ll never..
What do they know! you know your own body – if you choose to keep fighting to keep pushing – you keep going.. no-one knows how far you can push yourself!
i’m not stopping yet.. i’m still going, June 20th 2007 i came home from hospital with this advice “Thats you now, go home accept it and get on with your life” as you can see i decided to ignore that advice and i push those “medical boundries” further everyday
i have scanned my physio report and added it.. here to read it, click on it and it
will enlarge
Yesterday i had another session in the pool, in there i can really work all my muscle
groups, the feeling of freedom that it gives me – its like nothing else.. (followed by the pub)
This morning i did physio (with a sore head) i was a little shaky, but my blood pressure was good which made standing better, my body was very active which made things interesting – it was harder to stop my legs buckling swimming really helps initiate my quads
independence… never take life for granted, you never know when any part of your life will be taken from you.
This wheel chair is the next step in freedom, it can go any where a mountain bike can go and further.. it would give me the abilty to take tyler baby for his walks by myself, it doesn’t give me anything other than freedom.. which in itself is priceless… (but does come with an £8000 price tag…) like all disabled equipment they put everything just out of reach…. http://www.bromakin.co.uk/handcycles/powered
Choice’s
November 13th, 2008
Every day we face choices.. some hard some easy , some wrong some right.. but once they are made you have then got to follow that route, right or wrong – “even weather or not to go swimming” – seems a small choice… but!?! tomorrow there will then be more choices, life goes on – give up.. or deal with the hand that has been delt – your choice….
BBQ season. Therefore it is important to refresh your memory on the etiquette of this
sublime outdoor cooking activity. When a man volunteers to do the BBQ the following chain of events are put into motion:
Routine…
(1) The woman buys the food.
(2) The woman makes the salad, prepares the vegetables, and makes dessert ..
(3) The woman prepares the meat for cooking, places it on a tray along with the necessary cooking utensils and sauces, and takes it to the man who is lounging beside the grill – beer in hand.
(4) The woman remains outside the compulsory three meter exclusion zone where the exuberance and other manly bonding activities can take place without the interference of the woman.
Here comes the important part:
(5) THE MAN PLACES THE MEAT ON THE GRILL.
More routine…
(6) The woman goes inside to organize the plates and cutlery.
(7) The woman comes out to tell the man that the meat is looking great. He thanks her and asks if she will bring another beer while he flips the meat
Important again:
(8) THE MAN TAKES THE MEAT OFF THE GRILL AND HANDS IT TO THE WOMAN.
More routine…
(9) The woman prepares the plates, salad, bread, utensils, napkins, sauces, and brings them to the table.
(10) After eating, the woman clears the table and does the dishes.
And most important of all:
(11) Everyone PRAISES the MAN and THANKS HIM for his cooking efforts.
(12) The man asks the woman how she enjoyed ‘ her night off ‘, and, upon seeing her annoyed reaction,
concludes that there’s just no pleasing some women
